Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver well-architected solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Develop backend services and APIs as well as other internal applications as necessary.
• Integrate with various databases, both SQL and NoSQL, and optimize data storage and retrieval.
• Maintain good software quality and test coverage.
• Follow best practices, measure everything, and be responsible for deployment to production.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring system stability and performance.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in the Go ecosystem and propose improvements and optimizations to existing systems.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
• Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality, consistency, and adherence to coding standards.

Requirements

• Experience in building and maintaining distributed systems and microservices,
• Extensive expertise with Go, including proficiency in OOP principles,
• Knowledge of REST principles for designing and implementing RESTful APIs in Go,
• Strong knowledge of concurrency, goroutines, and channels,
• Experience with various databases, both SQL and NoSQL,
• Proficiency in version control systems, with a focus on Git,
• A high level of English proficiency,
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work on complex projects,
• Familiar with Unix based operating-systems (macOS, Debian, Ubuntu..),

Job Description

We seek a proactive and detail-oriented Senior DevOps and Network Administrator to join our team, bringing expertise in networking, Linux administration, and DevOps technologies. Responsabilities

• Maintain, monitor, and optimize our infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Manage and troubleshoot networking protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, ARP, and DHCP.
• Design and manage VLANs, subnetting, NAT, and VPNs.
• Automate routine network and server tasks using Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
• Use network monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., Wireshark) to ensure optimal performance.
• Create and maintain detailed network documentation, diagrams, and configurations.
• Administer Linux servers (Ubuntu and Debian), focusing on security, performance tuning, and stability.
• Manage containerization workflows using Incus containers
• Work with Git for version control, managing repositories, and CI/CD workflows using Gitea Actions.
• Implement and maintain monitoring and metrics systems using Telegraf, Kapacitor, and InfluxDB (TSDB).

Requirements

Networking

• Strong understanding of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, ARP, and DHCP.
• Experience with VLANs, subnetting, NAT, and VPNs.
• Proficiency with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.

Linux Administration

• Hands-on experience with Linux distributions (Ubuntu and Debian).
• Expertise in server management, security, and performance optimization.

DevOps & Automation

• Strong knowledge of LXC/Incus containerization technologies, including deployment, management, and troubleshooting.
• Strong experience with Bash scripting and other scripting languages like Python.
• Experience configuring, deploying, and optimizing Nginx as a reverse proxy, load balancer, and web server in high-traffic, production environments, with knowledge of SSL/TLS protocols.
• Familiarity with monitoring systems like Grafana, Telegraf, Kapacitor (TICKScript), and InfluxDB.

General Skills

• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Nice-to-Have

• Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with Mikrotik, Ubiquiti, Cisco, and Arista equipment.
• Experience with hardware installation, configuration, and maintenance for routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Knowledge of network design principles (redundancy, scalability, high availability).
• Experience with Prometheus for metrics collection and alerting.
• Solid understanding of Docker containerization, including image building, container orchestration, and managing production-level environments.
• Knowledge of HashiCorp products, including Nomad and Consul, with experience in deploying, configuring, and managing these tools for infrastructure automation and service discovery.
• Proficiency with Ansible or other configuration management tools.
